Still working up my Urban Sketch, sometimes when I'm not sure which colours I want to use, I print out several small copies of my drawing, and try out some rough ideas, I call them "colour studies". They only take 2-3 minutes each. Some of them look like rubbish, some turn out wonderful. Which one do you prefer? I'm inclined to go with the orange and lilac one, it suits the toned tan paper I am working on.

I feel like the one medium that's pretty safe from AI art generators is soft pastels, AI could never achieve the looseness that they are so wonderful for. It makes me want to really get my hands dirty with them. This one I created a few weeks ago, it's for A Year of Light in 2025.

I bought this tiny 3x5inch watercolour journal last year, finally getting to use it on a mini break at the beach. Doing 5 minute studies, start off upside down to keep it loose, then flip right side up to finish the details. Fountain pen ink and water.
